We believe education can help to reduce the burden of poverty and backwardness observed in our communities and country at large.
We believe in the future of every Nigerian child hence, our aim to take them off the streets by engaging them through education.
The CGF education grant is a competitive grant and not a bursary.
Grants should therefore take into consideration the duration of study with a view to supporting recipients not just through one academic session but through the entire study program.
The grant is limited in the first phase to tertiary education (Federal Institutions Only).
Grants will cover tuition directly paid to the educational institution and stipends paid directly to the sponsored student.
The maximum allocation to a student per year (tuition and stipend) will not exceed one hundred thousand naira.
Interested students should apply formally and go through a selection framework that aims at identifying the following:
- Academic proficiency
- Social responsibility
- Financial challenge.
Successful applicants will receive Colina Grace Fellowship, valid for one academic session, renewable on the basis of academic performance and continued good standing.
Preference will be given to students who still have a minimum of three academic sessions prior to graduation.
Application for 2018 grants opens March 1 2018 and closes April 30, 2018.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview.
Disbursement will be completed within 60 days of successfully completing the selection process.
